When can I sign up for classes?

Do I need to be a member to sign up for classes?

No, you do not need to be a member to sign up for classes. Classes are open to the public. Memberships are for those with prior experience and prefer to work in an open studio without an instructor. You can sign up for classes here: Classes & Workshops — Makers & Clay (makersandclay.com)

Do you offer kids classes?

We are pleased to announce we have partnered with the City of Monrovia Recreation Department to offer kids programming at various times throughout the year. To view the current kids programs, follow these steps:

• Click this link or paste into your browser: Activity Guide | City of Monrovia (monroviaca.gov)

• then click on the “click here to enroll in classes” button

• scroll down to the “Youth Classes” section

• click on “Arts and Crafts”

• This will show the list of classes.

• The classes with the location listed as “Makers & Clay” are the classes we have available for kids.

We plan to continue to roll-out additional programming throughout the year. In the interim, kids ages 9 and over are allowed to sign up for adult classes in conjunction with a guardian signing up for the same class.

How do I know if I'm qualified to be a member?

The general requirement for membership is that you've taken at least two 4-week classes at Makers & Clay or one 4-week class at Makers & Clay in conjunction recent classes at another studio. Membership is designed for individuals who are already familiar with the studio environment, its equipment, and Makers & Clays specific studio policies and procedures. Do you have one-day classes?

Yes, we offer monthly and seasonal classes. You can find our one-day classes here: Classes & Workshops — Makers & Clay (makersandclay.com). To stay updated on new one-day classes and workshops, make sure to join our email list and follow us on Instagram for the latest updates.

Do you offer team building and private events?

Yes! We offer team building and private event options. Please email us at info@makersandclay.com to discuss your specific needs, and we'll be happy to work with you to create a memorable and creative experience for your group.

What is your return policy on gift cards?

All of our gift cards, including monthly membership gift cards, are non-refundable. However, they do offer flexibility. All of our gift cards can be applied towards classes, memberships, workshops, clay and tools. You also have the ability give your gift card code to someone else. What is your membership cancellation policy?

You have the option to cancel your monthly membership at any time. To initiate a cancellation, simply send an email to info@makersandclay.com at least 2 weeks prior to your next billing cycle to avoid future charges. Your membership will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. Please be aware that we do not provide refunds or prorate for partial months.
