Friday Night One-Time Wheel Throwing for Beginners (Ages 14 to Adult)
Experience Wheel Throwing in this 2 hour introductory one-day session. This class is perfect for beginners who want to test drive the pottery wheel, date night, or those simply looking to try something new.
The primary purpose of this class is to give new students the opportunity to get a feel for wheel throwing. Students will get a brief overview of the fundamentals of throwing on the wheel, including learning how to transform a ball of clay into a vessel/cylinder.
While we cannot guarantee the outcome of your creations, each student is welcome to keep up to two pieces. We will fire and glaze your pieces for you, and they'll be ready for pickup in approximately 6-8 weeks..
To continue your journey with clay, you can sign up for one of our 4-week courses to get a deeper understanding of the foundations of wheel throwing.
All materials and tools are provided. We recommend you wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting a little muddy.
