This two-day workshop will guide you through creating whimsical ceramic sardine tin boxes with a vintage flair, featuring a removable lid and fish-shaped chopstick rests using slab-building techniques.

Each participant can make up to 2 tins and 8 fish.

Schedule:

•Day 1: Construct and assemble the box and chopstick rests using handbuilding techniques. Add details and textures.

•Day 2 (7 days later): Surface decoration, painting with underglaze.

Open to all skill levels.

All materials and tools are provided. We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little muddy or bringing your own apron.

Classes start promptly. Please arrive early to allow time for parking and check-in at the studio.
