Thank you for choosing Makers & Clay to celebrate your birthday party!

Event Time: Sunday, September 8th from 10 AM to 12 PM

Project: Wheel Throwing

Event Details and Policies:

We’re excited to host you and your guests for a fun-filled ceramics experience at Makers & Clay! To ensure everything goes smoothly, please review the following details:

1. Decoration Setup:

If you’d like to arrive early to set up decorations, let us know in advance. We’ll make sure the tables are available and clear for you.

2. Celebration Time:

If you’d like an extra 30 minutes before or after the event for light snacks or dessert (not provided), please inform us ahead of time so we can accommodate your request.

3. Arrival Time:

We recommend that guests arrive 15 minutes early to ensure the event starts on time and everyone can fully enjoy the activities.

4. Dress Code:

We suggest that you wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Please wear closed-toed shoes for your safety. For wheel throwing, long hair must be tied back or up, loose jewelry removed, and we recommend throwing with short nails. Students and members are encouraged to bring their own aprons and towels. Don’t worry—the clay washes out!

5. Studio Environment & Safety:

Makers & Clay is a fully functioning ceramic arts studio where members and students are actively working on their projects. To maintain a safe and respectful environment:

  • Only registered participants (with the exception of approved chaperones) are allowed in the studio during the event.

  • Please keep noise levels appropriate to avoid disturbing others in the studio.

  • Be mindful of your surroundings, as pieces may appear sturdy but are often more fragile than they seem. No touching or moving others’ work.

  • No running, horseplay, or rough activities. Children must be supervised at all times.

6. Finished Pieces:

Your final glazed pieces will be ready for pick-up 6-8 weeks after the event. We’ll notify you when they’re ready.

7. Parking Information:

There is ample street parking and a large parking lot next to our studio. Please read the signs carefully for 90-minute, 3-hour, and 8-hour parking regulations.

8. Payment & Bookings:

To secure your booking, a deposit is required:

  • Handbuilding Events: includes up to 10 participants and is priced at $550, with the option to add more guests (up to 16 total) at $55 per additional participant. Ages 7 & up.

  • Wheel Throwing Events: includes up to 9 participants and is priced at $765. Ages 9 & up.

  • For larger groups than noted above, email us at info@makersandclay.com to discuss longer event option or partial/full studio rentals.
